Infamous ‘witch hunter’ Geralt searches for his surrogate daughter, Ciri, while navigating political conflicts, war, and supernatural threats. Although Geralt is physically formidable, the story consistently presents him as caring, thoughtful, and emotionally invested in the people around him. Much of the narrative centers on parenting, friendship, loyalty, and responsibility. His bond with Ciri is particularly significant as an example of caregiving masculinity. While Geralt is depicted as heterosexually promiscuous, the game also explores his numerous meaningful relationships with women based on mutual respect, trust and affection. Violence remains part of Geralt’s profession, but the story repeatedly emphasizes empathy, restraint, and personal connection.
