Colter Shaw is a textbook procedural masculine hero — physically competent, emotionally closed, defined by self-reliance and protective instinct — but he aligns more with relational than dominant manhood. He’s collaborative, respectful, and compassionate. He’s warm and emotionally connected in moments, while the rest of the time, he’s a stoic, lone wolf survivalist committed to rescuing missing people from danger.
